11/17/09 - A couple in SLO that had adopted a boxer from 2nd Chance many years ago saw Dexter in Easy Ad…they fell in love with Dexter and adopted him! I’ll be sure to ask them to send photos of him in his new home!
Deborah

11/9/09 - Holly was officially adopted today!!!! Thank you to everyone who help post flyers and get her on the web. I still have Zoomer that needs a home so please keep his info out there.
Ericka Duggan

10/28/09 - After 4 months of searching, Bianca finally found a wonderful home with a couple who lives near the Blacklake golf course. She’ll be riding around in the golf cart and learning how to retrieve ball!

10/28/09 - Oso and Orea found homes. Oso found a home on a ranch in Templeton. Oreo found a home in north county.

10/14/09 - Dottie found a wonderful home.

10/1/09 - Jake (of Honey & Jake) has been adopted. Honey has been accepted into Santa Maria Valley Humane Society. I’m sure she’ll find a great home!

9/18//09 - Echo is going to her new today. She will be living in Paso Robles, on some acreage, with an older couple whose wolf-hybrid passed away a few months ago. She'll be the only dog, which will be great for her. It took a while...but the owners were willing to wait for the right home to come along.
Deborah

8/30/09 - Wally has found a home (pending adoption Sunday, but it’s looking VERY good).

8/28/09 - I was just going to write you to tell you that Holly has found a new home with a young man in San Luis Obispo who manages a wonderful coffee shop. He goes out and jogs every morning, and has been looking for a dog at the pound for 6 months now, but hasn't found the 'right' one. I've known him for over a year but never guessed that he was looking for a pet and when I told him I needed to find a home for Holly he was virtually jumping up and down as he knows her well. He and Holly fell in love today, and he can even bring her to work where she can greet the customers. The best part is that the coffee shop is almost right in front of where I'm going to be living again, so I'll get to see her any time I go by.
I appreciate all your efforts and would like to know where I could send a donation to help with what you're doing, and help defray the time you spent putting together Holly's ad. If for any reason things fall through I'll let you know.... but it looks like the old girl has found the perfect home with the perfect person. Thank you so much!!

8/30/09 - Ryder and Lucy watching TV.
The family is just great! They LOVE Lucy

8/4/09 - Sophie, one of Georgie's pups has been adopted.

8/4/09 - Chuy (pronounced Chewey) has been adopted.

7/6/09 - Snickers has been adopted! The owner’s friend is going to take him next week.

7/5/09 - One of our volunteers, Nancy, who had fostered Tug for about a year, has decided to adopt him.

6/1/09 - Here is a link to a video of my dog, Scout, playing soccer. Yes, his opponent, me, is incredibly out of shape but still, he shows real talent. I can take credit for none of this as he learned on his own. You can probably tell that he loves it. Thanks to Craig Updegrove for the filming and making this available. I hope you enjoy it as much as Scout and I enjoy playing.

5/28/09 - Dusty, our little terrier mix, has been adopted.

5/26/09 - Deborah - Here are some doggie pics of my clan! The shepherd mix is the latest, about a little more than a year ago rescued him from Delano , never intended on keeping him. But you know how it goes, you fall in love with them...................! Pepper is almost 10 years old, but you'd never guess it by her teeth, her body or her actions! If I didn't know her age, I'd guess about 4! Remy, the Pharoah is a total love bug, but at times can be very much of a rough houser along with the shep. But they are both young, only 2. Take care, Michelle

5/25/09 - Miya (Mariah) is a 1 1/2 year old border collie. She was deamed unadoptable by Animal Control because she was so shy. Grier saw something in her and pulled her out of the pound and put her in foster care. Apparently the foster family saw something too. They are keeping her.

5/4/09 - Hello Everyone -
Yes, we've adopted Stella, but not without the great help of both Bev and Ericka. Bev, it broke my heart to watch you watch us leave. I hope it wasn't too awful for you... you did AN AMAZING JOB taking care of Stella. You knew the answers to a lot of questions I asked meaning that you paid attention to Stella and knew about her characteristics and behaviors. You were open and honest and willing to make arrangements with us. I say all this because I hope that yesterday wasn't so hard that you're not going to foster again. We need good people like you to foster. So please, keep up the good work. You have my email and can contact me anytime for news about Stella.
Stella slept in her crate very well last night. No whining. She's played well with everyong, and had a few instances with the electric fence, but she's maintained. Oh, and she shit on our carpet, but that was a given; it was a big day for her yesterday. We ate McDonald's in the car on the way home. She was VERY interested in the food, but obeyed our No's and relaxed. She's confused/alert/interested in most new things, including our screaming daughter during one of her fits. Really, she's great (the dog, not the daughter. Well, the daughter's ok too).
Ericka, thanks for coming out for the evaluation. It's clear you know what you're doing.
Deb, keep up the good work finding connections and homes for people and dogs. If you need a reference for any reason, please do contact me. I will eagerly refer people to both Deb and Ericka for homes and training. Deb, I'ill send a check to you personally in the mail, no receipt needed.
Best,
Kelly

4/20/09 - 5 month old Pom found a great home in Avila.

2/24/09 - Spike was finally adopted! I don’t know much about the family who adopted him – the owners wanted to be involved in the adoption process – so I screened calls, and sent the “good” ones onto Jessica. She told me last night that she really liked the family who adopted Spike – they have a 2 year old lab and they are getting along very well.

2/8/09 - Topher was adopted today by a couple who live in north Paso, on 2 acres. I spoke with Wendy on Friday about Topher, and it looked like it would be a good fit. They have a 6 yr old rottie girl (Sophie) and they were looking for a companion for her. They brought Sophie down to Lucky Dog kennels today to meet Topher, and Sophie LOVED him! And THEY loved Topher!!! Everyone is very excited!!!

1/24/09 - Everything with Molly is fantastic, she's a well behaved bundle of love, and we wouldn't give her up for the world. She lives primarily at my boyfriend's house, and spends her days wrestling around the backyard with her new friend Monty. I've attached a couple pictures of the happy pup and her new family. Thank you SO much for helping Molly, and helping us find her, she's everything we could ask for in a dog and more.

(Molly too!)

1/20/09 - This is a long awaited thank you; I just wanted to send on behalf of myself and my husband and our two ”children” Buddy and Coyote. We adopted both Buddy and Coyote from you about 4 years ago. We got Coyote first, a deaf Queensland Healer, from your volunteer Cathi Chapman, and fell in love with her. While she is our “problem child” she is the smartest and most affectionate dog we’ve ever had, she’s just a little mischievous. Then a few months later Cathi told us about Buddy, another Queensland healer who had already had two homes and had a serious case of separation anxiety. We were only going to keep him until you could find a home for him, but we fell in love with him, as did Coyote, and he’s been our little man ever since. They go everywhere with us, and are one of the best decisions we’ve ever made. I just think what you guys do is wonderful and I wanted to thank you and your volunteers for taking time out of your lives to connect these great animals with needy owners such as ourselves. We don’t know where we’d be with out them!!
In Gratitude,
Heather Cargill
