A Stay Home/Re-Home Program for Pets
On the Central Coast of California

Giving up a family pet is a very hard decision. Before you leave your animal at the county shelter or other rescue organization, please consider some alternatives. We would like to help you either keep your pet or help you find it a perfect home. There is no charge for this service.
We can assist you in any of the following areas:
- Phone counseling to assess your situation and needs.
We can discuss why you are surrendering your pet and help you
find ways to keep it or find alternative placements.
- Animal Behavior/training Counseling –
Free phone consultations from certified trainers. Or, financial
assistance with in-home training consults.
- Containment Counseling –
Suggestions and guidance on how to secure an escape artist
- Placement Counseling –
We can place ads for your pet, post them on websites, screen
potential adopters, and help you through the adoption process.
- Temporary Foster Homes/Boarding –
Low cost or free short-term housing for your pet until you are
again able to have them at home or if you are unable
to keep them before they are placed. Be advised, however, that
foster homes are few
- New Pet Owner Counseling – Help in the sometimes difficult initial adjustment for you and your pet, including how to introduce your new pet to resident pets.
Most of our animals that are up for adoption are with their owners or are in foster care until we find them the perfect home. We can provide you with a background/history of the pet you are interested in adopting. We have purebreds and mixes, young or mature…we are sure we can help you find a pet to fit your lifestyle.
